Developments in ports

LNG is currently available as a bunker fuel for maritime and inland shipping at the WPCI ports of Antwerp, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge and Stockholm. Many other WPCI ports are planning to implement LNG bunkering in the next years. The current situation and the planned developments are described for all WPCI ports. At the world map the status of bunkering activities in WPCI ports as well as non WPCI ports is depicted.

Bunkering checklist

IAPH’s WPCI LNG working group has developed harmonized bunkering checklists for LNG operations in ports. Implemented harmonized bunker checklists will be of great benefit to the vessels bunkering LNG in different ports, as this will reduce the potential for confusion caused by having to comply with different rules and regulations in different ports.
