Click here for the guidelines that have been produced to assist in the joint use of LNG bunker checklist for Shore-Ship bunkering. Before the LNG bunker operations commence, the master, the LNG onshore bunker station operator and, if applicable, the terminal representative should:

  • Agree in writing on the transfer procedures, including the maximum loading or unloading rates;
  • Agree in writing on the action to be taken in the event of an emergency, and
  • Complete and sign the LNG bunker checklist Onshore Bunker Station to Ship

IAPH’s WPCI LNG working group has developed harmonized bunkering checklists for LNG operations in ports. Implemented harmonized bunker checklists will be of great benefit to the vessels bunkering LNG in different ports, as this will reduce the potential for confusion caused by having to comply with different rules and regulations in different ports.
